Smog Pump Restoration Call jim for all questions on smog pumps at 770 823 1370
The smog pump (also called an A.I.R. or Thermactor pump) was used on several Ford and GM models in the late 1960’s and early 1970’s as part of the vehicle emission control systems. In a properly restored car this will be one of the key components under the hood. Having a correctly restored and date coded pump is important to give that factory original appearance.
All smog pumps are restored to original appearance and function. Pumps are built to your vehicle’s specifications and include refinished and date-coded housing, refurbished rotating parts, new front bearing, new relief valve and calibration plug, new fan, new dowel pins, replated hardware, and functional test. Internal parts, including the hard-to-find carbon seals, are in stock to repair your pump to as new or convert a non-functional pump to full function.
The aluminum housing is tumbled, machined, and date coded to your application. These are ready to install and as close to original function and appearance as possible.
