Rear end housing and gears

The mighty Chrysler 8-3/4 rear end was what was installed here in the TommyBoy car with a gear ratio of 3.23:1.  After we have everything degreased and cleaned up we can evaluate if the gears will be reusable – however there is evidence that at some point the ring and pinion were damaged as piece of gears were in the oil in the bottom of the housing and its obvious from the RTV that someone had been in there.  Definitely time for an overhaul here.  Nothing like the smell of gear oil…..
