Restoring Classic Mustangs to Their Former Glory

Hi, my name is Marcus Anghel

And I am the owner of Anghel Restorations. My background is one of those stories you hear where someone is simply doing what they love and feel very passionate about, and suddenly, without really intending to, they find their passion has taken on a life of its own.

My automotive beginnings started in the small town of Wilkes-Barre PA, in the heart of the Pocono Mountain region of Pennsylvania. Growing up in the 1970s and the 1980s it was not hard to fall in love with the cars of the times, including such classics as Plymouth GTX’s, Chevrolet Camaro’s, and of course Ford Mustangs. It seemed they were everywhere. True muscle cars were built with style, built with metal, and built for a purpose that looked good coming or going. I loved seeing these cars at the local Dairy Queen or driving around and cruising on a Saturday night. Many good memories of those days.

I followed my passion for cars and worked as a teenager at the local gas station until I was 18 years old and enrolled in a two year program at Johnson College of Technology in Scranton PA where I graduated with a degree in Automotive and Internal Combustion Technology. Soon after that I started working in the local dealership during the day turning wrenches and then busted my knuckles at night at an engine/machine shop. I worked my way up the ladder eventually getting most of my ASE certifications.

My work eventually took me to New Jersey where I lived for 5 years before finally realizing, one really long winter, that I did not want to wait until I retired to move to a place that was warm. So, finally in 1998, I settled on a move cross-country to Phoenix Arizona. It was only after I moved here that I realized what a strange world I had arrived in. Once I got over the culture shock of cactus and the blazing hot 115 degree summers, I realized that I lived in a particularly beautiful part of the country because of the clean rust free sheet metal, suspension, and chrome that we have here.

Today I use the resources I have available, plus the experience I have collected over the years to provide the best possible concourse restoration services out of our 2000 square foot shop. I use only the best parts and material available from all over the country for each job, whether NOS, new, or handpicked quality used parts. My ultimate goal is to give you a product that I would be happy to put on one of my own cars.

I am both happy and proud to have fellow muscle car enthusiasts contact me from as far away as Australia, Canada, Netherlands and United Kingdom. My restoration work has been included as part of some of the best judged cars including Shelby’s, Boss Mustangs, and CobraJets where there is a focus on originality by car owner, car admirers, and judges. I know that our future depends on the satisfaction of our customers and the word of mouth that comes from a job well done. I look forward to hearing from you and thank you for visiting this website.
