Rebuilding lower control arms Part 1

Some of the work involved here…..minor surface prep and a little weld filler before painting (just cosmetic), welding washers to the old bushing sleeves to press out from the back side (plus the introduced heat helps break them free), cutting off old inner bushing sleeves from the original pivot shafts and then wire wheeling them (they were otherwise in great shape and people say the quality of the originals is hard to beat).  The sleeves in the LCA’s where the new bushings would be pressed in were galled up from previous work, so this had to be resurfaced with a small sanding drum. New USA made bushings were press fit into the painted controls arms along with pressed in restored pivot shafts. Finally, new bump stops and torsion adjusters were installed.
