Striker

As with the door latch assembly the strikers are date coded as well.  Ford used three different manufacturers for the strikers in 1970 and these, as with others, are date coded.  Shown here as 8 29 9, which would be August 29 1969.

The spacers used behind the striker were a zinc dichromate finish and were replated as were the strikers themselves.  Original style screws are used with the cross hatch pattern that can be seen on the face.
