Gear shift and control switches in vehicle.

The switch panel

The switch panel that was on the car was not original, or at least the switches and the labels were not original.  Those were replaced because they were made in China.  Also, since there was no printers available in 1970, what we see here had to be modified at some point later in its life.  To duplicate what the labels looked like originally in 1970, and give that vintage feel, we used a Dymo label maker just like they had back in those days.  Many people probably remember using one of these to make labels.

For the switches we were lucky enough to get actual switches used on a Boeing 727 which was in service in 1970.  With the help of Jim Lumia who works for one of the airlines here in Phoenix he was able to locate these parts and complete the picture.  All in the details.
