Plating parts

The original parts shown below were plated, and not painted.   This is how the factory would have installed these.  Paint over time would be more likely to flake off or chip from every day use especially since these are high contact areas (door latch and catch, trunk latch and catch etc).  Taking these apart and having them replated (with a zinc coating) makes them look as good as new again and will be one of the many nice detail items that make it above and beyond most restorations today.
